Ross is delighted to be serving as the Interim Moderator at Coquitlam Presbyterian Church, working with the Session and the Staff to search for the next lead pastor.  Ross is the Dean of St. Andrew’s Hall, the Presbyterian Church in Canada college at the University of British Columbia and also serves as the Professor of Mission Studies at Vancouver School of Theology. Ross looks forward to meeting you at CPC as we discern God's activity for our church and community!

Lori has been the Worship Director at Coquitlam Presbyterian Church since May 1998. "It's my desire to see people grow in their knowledge of God so that we can worship Him more fully. It's my prayer that Sunday mornings will be a time that people can come and meet with God, experience Him and hear from Him through every part of the service." Lori originally comes from Saskatchewan where she received a BA in Music and BA in Counselling at Briercrest Bible College. She and her husband, Quinn, have two girls: Mikayla and Emma.

Meghan began as a volunteer in CPC's nursery and Kids Church and was hired as the Director of Children's Ministry in September of 2010. While she loves Bible stories, funny puppets and snack time she is even more passionate about the healthy, Christ-centered relationships that are flourishing between children and their parents and teachers. When children experience unconditional love and acceptance from the adults in their lives, they get a glimpse of what it means to be loved by God. She is committed to surrounding CPC's children with loving Christians who give them a tangible example of the heart of God. Meghan is originally from Illinois. She is married to her High-School sweetheart and has two young sons.

Astrid is from Indonesia where she grew up in both Presbyterian and Pentecostal churches.  She holds a Bachelor of Theology from Bethel Theological Seminary in Indonesia and is part way through a Master of Divinity program at St. Andrew’s Hall/Vancouver School of Theology.  Astrid has an impressive background of service in the church including children’s ministry in a megachurch in Jakarta, serving a congregation in South Korea, being a mission trip leader to rural Indonesia, street outreach in Jakarta and ministry in urban and rural ministries in Canada.

Janet (pronounced Ya-nette) has been worshiping at CPC since 1998 and working here as office administrator since August 2002. She became a Christian at a “Youth for Christ” event when she was in Grade 5 and has been blown away by God’s grace to “take her and mold her” to His image over time… a very slow process at times. She has been holding onto God's promise in Philippians 1:6 that He will be faithful and complete the work that He started in her. He has carried her through difficult times when she did not feel “like a Christian” in her daily living and loving. This is God’s grace and mercy to all of us who call Him our Lord.

 

Janet is originally from Cape Town, South Africa and came to Canada in 1997. She has two adult sons and two very precious daughters-in-law.
